Unfortunately, contact was made between Jason and the 3rd place car on lap 37 resulting in hard contact with the wall. We were unable to continue and finished 18th. Tunks Motorsports finished 10th in the overall point standings for 2006 in the ASA Late Model division. We would like to congratulate Bobby Wilberg on winning the championship.

In the ASA LM division, the special “Union Laborers 100” was featured. Jason Tyler qualified (8th) fastest with a lap of 18.206 seconds. In the feature event, Jason made his way up to the second position by lap 16. Unfortunately, the #2 spun on the restart of the race following a caution. Jason restarted at the rear of the field and finished (11th).

July 7th 2006
Jason Tyler qualified (7 th ) fastest with a lap of 18.370 seconds. He finished (2 nd ) in the heat race. In the feature event, Jason advanced to (3 rd ) by lap 12. On lap 15, while going for the (2 nd ) position, contact was made resulting in both cars relegated to the rear of the field. The #2 patiently worked traffic and came up through the pack to claim (4 th ) place at the end of the 40 lap event.

In the ASA LM division, Jason Tyler qualified
(6 th) fastest with a lap of 18.145 seconds. He finished (8th) in the heat race and (2nd) in the feature. Jason made his way to the front early in the race and led many laps of the exciting event.

In the ASA LM division, Jason Tyler qualified the fastest of all cars with a lap of 18.052 seconds. He finished (4 th ) in the heat race and (11 th ) in the feature. It was a good first night of racing for the white #2.

Tunks Motorsports finished 3rd in the overall point standings for 2006 in the Limited Late Model division. We would like to congratulate Jeremy Miller and car owner Jon Reynolds on winning the championship.

In the LLM division, Billy Baumeister qualified 4th fastest with a lap of 19.100 seconds. We started at the back of the heat race and finished 1st. In the feature event, Billy started in the 8th position and made his way to the front by lap twelve. We stayed out front for the remaining laps to claim our second feature victory of the year!

In the Limited LM division, Billy Baumeister qualified (3rd) fastest with a lap of 19.199 seconds. He finished (3rd) in the Wayne 's Custom Diecast dash event. In the feature event, our bad night continued. On the opening lap, two cars up front made contact, resulting in a spin that collected the #2. We came in the pits for repairs and salvaged a (6th) place finish.


June 30th 2006
Tunks Motorpsorts competed in SLM division at Madison International Speedway on. Billy Baumeister qualified (16 th ) fastest with a lap of 18.176 seconds. He finished (1st) in the heat race. In the feature event, the car started off strong but became extremely loose. Billy pulled out of the race at the halfway point finishing (22 nd ). The team found the cause of the handling problem to be a LR tire issue

Billy Baumeister qualified (4th) fastest with a lap of 19.001 seconds. He finished 1st in the Wayne 's Custom Diecast dash event. We were looking forward to a good finish in the feature but it started to rain and the remaining racing events were cancelled.

In the Limited LM division, Billy Baumeister qualified (3 rd ) fastest with a lap of 19.130 seconds. He finished (6 th ) in the heat race and (1st) in the feature. We were all very pleased with the win. Hopefully the bad luck we had earlier in the year is now behind us.
